NO LONGER AT EASE.
My heart leaps when I behold,
as sorrow bumps it's venom to my veins.
As our nights are no longer for rest,
Lest nowhere is safe at daytime.
Every morning begins with an anxiety,
as who may predict the next to die ?
Half prayer, one eyes closed .
For who knows when the gunmen may arrive in ambush ?
Nowhere is saved,
No voice is heard.
only for riches and extortion.
As we bleed tears and shed blood,
Who will listen to our cry ?
Even when sons and daughters,
crawl for a slim chance,
who ever listen to the story ?
they keep striving,
Yet nowhere to rest their heads.
Somewhere in the North,
a good number of deads are there,
crying for a second chance of life,
and as the youth eat from the scrambles of poverty !
Alas ! No longer at ease,
our energies are no longer worth to fight poverty.
Until we break the anthills of the nation,
Men and women,
Until we give life for a new beginning,
and rest in the blossom memories of our cries,
Perhaps by then,
A little breathe may come to stay.
