Founded by Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor in 2019 in University of Abuja is an initiative that brings writers, upcoming writers, poets and young Nigerians who are keen and eager to grow their creative skills and develop their interests in Creative writing. It aims at building a generation of young people who shall be relevant, and innovative for the future. ACW is a world were excellence and success is celebrated.

MEET OUR FOUNDER, PRINCE EZEABATA CHIBUZOR




Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor holds a Bachelor’s degree (LL.B) degree in Law from the University of Abuja.

BELOW ARE HIS RECORDS WHEN HE WAS A STUDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY.

He was the winner of the 2019 NUESS quiz, and recipient of the 2019 NUESS Award of Excellence for outstanding performance. An award he won in his first year at the University. 

Prince has volunteered for organizations - Civil society organisations, and Not For Profit Organisations - and he served as an Adhoc INEC Staff at the 2022 FCT Chairmanship & Councillorship Election as an Electoral Officer. 

He was also the student legal adviser to SMOC, a Startup financial group formed by a few students of the University of Abuja to mitigate student's hardship in Nigerian Universities, by granting small loans to students and grants to student inventors in 2021.

Known for his high pitch in critical thinking, quantitative analysis, and innovative approach to solving problems,  he was appointed in 2019, his first year at the University, to the office of the Personal Assistant to the then President of the Law Student Association of Nigeria - LAWSAN - the University of Abuja Chapter on Press Issues, a member of the LAWSAN National National Internship Committee and was the Head of Strategic Planning in the office of the Director of Welfare, STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT (UofA) between 2019 - 2020. 

In March 2020, he was appointed as a member of the University of Abuja, Student Union Government, Editorial Board, which was and still, the first and only editorial board in the University.

In July 2020, The Legal Pacesetters appointed him as a partner and Campus coordinator, wherein he oversees the affairs of the Organisation in his faculty. 

In mid-2020, Prince was offered a place at The Student Chambers, a student organisation centered on preparing Law students for Corporate & Business Law Practice. 
While he was at The Student Chambers; as an Associate, he lead the Fintech & Regulatory Compliance Team to advise The Titan Hub.inc, a start-up Fintech and e-commerce company in September 2020 on relevant regulatory compliance procedures and prospects in the financial sector.
He also rose to become the TeamLead of the Fintech & Regulatory Compliance Practice Group of the firm, before his leave. 


In September 2020, he and his team from Association of Creative Writers (ACW-UA) hosted the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, in addition to Professor Gbolahan Elias SAN, the Principal Partner of G Elias & Co Law firm, Dike Chukwumerije, Denja Abdullahi and other dignitaries in the first anniversary of the Association, themed THE RESURGENCE : UPHOLDING THE ROLE OF THE PEN on a virtual webinar to mark the one year old anniversary of the Association. As Association he founded in the University of Abuja in his first year.



In September 2021, he also hosted the Youngest Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Atoyebi Oyetola Muyiwa SAN, Salamatu Sule, Cynthia Mbamalu and other dignitaries in the University  Campus with the theme YOUTH & SECURITY:IDENTIFYING LAPSES AND EMERGING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT live on campus as the President of ACW-UA.

In  January 2022, he organized "Taking Giant Strides for 2022" an online Webinar to breed out ideas and information for successful intentional individuals geared towards preparing them for the new year.

On August 2022, he was invited by the Principal of his alma-mater, Government Senior Secondary school, Byazhin, seven years after graduation as a KEY NOTE SPEAKER to speak to the graduating students. A rare opportunity given to a former student of the institution. 

He hosted the ACW STAKEHOLDER'S DISCOURSE in July of 2022 which features top stakeholders from Civil Society Organisations, Political parties, INEC and government sectors to discuss and analysis key issues pertaining to the just concluded 2023 General Election.


He has interned at the law firms of Maxwell Ọkpara & Associate, Omaplex Law Firm and F & B Attorneys. 

He reviewed Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Zikora, in 2020. A review which has been widely accepted by literary critics, and he is the author of, Ghost of Sparta [Kingdom Games]. His debut play inspired by the October, 2020 massacre at Lekki Toll gate, Lagos, Nigeria.
 
Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor is the Founder of Association of Creative Writers, an organisation he founded in his first year in the University in 2019 at the age of 18. The association boasts of having wide range membership accross all facilities and departments on campus, and the Association is the leading student organisation on campus that offers a wide network advantage accross all facilities, departments and field of study, in addition to being the leading student organisation on campus that focus on Personal development and building career skills.

The Association is currently in three universities and in primary schools as Creative Writers and Readers Club.

When he was the President of ACW-UA, he introduced various innovatives, career and student-oriented initiatives on campus; ACW DISCOURSE, and ACW-UA Innovative Conferences, just to mention but a few.

On Friday the 4th of November, 2022, Prince stepped aside as the President of Association of Creative Writers - University of Abuja Chapter (ACW-UA), having led the association in the University, for three year, from his first year when he founded it. The Association (ACW-UA) currently functions well without him being involved. This is testament to his leadership ability, and strategic skill. Dominic Nwobodo succeeded him as President of the Association, who was subsequently succeeded by Goodness Abah who is the current President.

He is the Executive Director of PurposeForte a #Tech4Opportunity nonprofit global organization, that  maximize technology for opportunities for young people in emerging nations, however the core focus is in Africa. 

On March 2023, Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor was selected by the Organisation Panafricaine pour la paix et la resolution des conflits (Pan African Organisation for Peace and Conflict Resolution) to lead a team of three students from the University, to represent Nigeria in Kigali, Rwanda for Grand Prize for Peace in Africa Project. This is owning to his outstanding influence and Impact in the University community, between students and staffs of the University.




Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor was the host of ‘AFTER SCHOOL WHAT’S NEXT?’. The largest career event in University of Abuja and one of the largest career event in the city of Abuja. 

He achieved this astonishing feat on Friday 31st of March, 2023 while in his fourth year (400 level).
In the cause of the event, he introduced the Distinguished Undergraduate Student Awards (#DUSAWARDS). An award to recognise students of the University of Abuja who are positively impacting themselves and the society within and outside the campus in Leadership, Volunteering, Entertainment, Entrepreneurship, and  Academic Excellence. Ten (10) students of the University were recognised and awarded the #DUSAWARDS2023.


In the cause of the event, he broke the record as being the first student in the history of the University of Abuja to host a sitting Vice Chancellor of the University in a physical event; in addition to hosting the largest independent career event in the history of the University and introducing the first significant Award strictly based on merit, unlike the usual awards and recognition characterized by votes buying and engagement counts. He ensured free transportation to and fro between mini campus to main campus for students to attend the event free.



The Senior Partner of Law Corridor, and Convener of the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers, Pelumi Olajengbesi Esq who was also a former SUG President of the University, the Chief Executive Officer of Connected Development, Hamzat B Lawal and the Chief Executive of Officer and founder of The BFG Global Consulting Ltd, Festus Bello were invited as keynote speakers.

In addition, Juliet Isi Ikhayere Esq, Safiya Ismaila Yero an Author, Inventor Zang Luka Bot founder of Zang Technologies, Rodney Umeh the Tiktoker(Wisdom Man), Munyal Markus Manunyi a journalist and Moshood Fattah acter at FAR FROM HOME were invited as Panelists.

However, Festus Bello was represented by Matthew Adegbesan, the Chief Consultant at ATM Property Consulting Ltd and Barr. Juliet Isi Ikhayere, Safiya Ismaila Yero, Mr. Ahmed Mu'Azu F.ABMAN were in attendance.

In addition, he broke the record of being the first student in the University's history to organise the biggest career event still as a student and have his picture on a Billboard on campus.
In the course of the event, 10 students were awarded the Distinguished Undergraduate Student Award 2023 (DUSAWARDS2023) in recognition of their outstanding performance as students.

The #DUSAward was introduced by Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor to recognise and celebrate excellence amongst the student's community.

In June 2023, he represented the University of Abuja at the ICPC National Inter - Tertiary School Debate Competition  and led the University unto clinching 2nd Position at the end of the competition. Although, that was the first time, he would be debating, he won the Best Speaker (Debater) at the end the Competition.


At the fall of June, he was as also Appointed by the University of Abuja, in conjunction with ICPC to the office of the Director, University of Abuja Student Anti-Corruption Vanguard.

In mid 2023, he contested and ran for the office of President, Student Union Government, University of Abuja. Having contested a year before for the office of an Honorable Member Representing Faculty of Law at the Student Representative of Assembly.

He has been involved in cases at the SUG Court of Justice. Notable amongst them; he was briefed as a legal practitioner by the Faculty of Management Sciences Student Association (FAMSSA) as a petitioners' counsel against College of Health Science, University of Abuja Medical Students Association (UAMSA) in a contentious case boarding on challenging Inter-Faculty competition results. A case he won at the appeal. The FAMSSA subsequent emerged winner at the final stage of the entire competition at the end of the exercise.


He has been recognised by @TheScamProject, as one of the 40 Most Outstanding and Influential Students in Nigeria, and he has been featured twice by the University of Abuja Magazine.


On October 2023, he was nominated by @HappyWomenInitiative as one of the influential and impactful Nigerians for the 2023 Humanitarian Awards.

He is the convener of the HangOut w/ Prince series. A monthly physical gathering where he shares ideas and insights on personal development, career and opportunities with fun.

As a budding lawyer, his interest spans across Technology Law, Business Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, and Intellectual Property Law. He is also interested in how law and policy shaped our human existence.

This interest has led him to author and co-Author articles on Technology & Blockchain, Space Law and Intellectual Property Law, which has been published in various online journals and magazines. 

Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor is an extraordinary young man, who is very passionate about young people finding purpose, being excellence in their craft and becoming a force for change and of positive influence in the ever changing world.

He loves to speak and share insights on leadership, growth, personal development and becoming excellent. Although, he is  young, he constantly proves that excellence is attainable for a young person who desires it.

He is often regarded as “the VC boy” for the feat of hosting the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, “ACW-UA BOSS” for founding ACW-UA and as one of the most popular student on campus.

Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Abuja in December, 2023 as the most influential student in the University of Abuja in his times, and one of the most influential student in University in all times.
