The ESSAY and POETRY WRITING COMPETITION organised by the Association of Creative Writers is in commemoration of it's second year anniversary.
The Association which was founded in 2019 in the University of Abuja, where it is popularly known as ACW-UA has extended to the University of Benin and Umar Musa Ya'Adua University Kastina State.
Speaking with the Founder of the Association, who is currently the President of the Association at the University of Abuja, Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor, he said, "This competition is in line with our objectives to raise a generation of global leaders"
According to the Founder the competition is inspired by the believe in the ingenuity of young persons, that they have the ideas to chart a difference and possibilities to effect positive change.
He also mentioned that the Competition is open to everyone within the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, however students of the University of Abuja are strongly encouraged to participate.

A Blueprint For Tackling Security Challenges In Nigeria.
GUIDELINES FOR THE ESSAY COMPETITION
▪️Essay must not be more than 3000 Words.
▪️Essay must be Font size 12, Times New Roman.
▪️ Essay must not be submitted multiple times.
▪️ ESSAY must be submitted in a document file.
▪️ Document must contain Full name, Phone number, occupation (If Student include Institution) and email address.
ELIGIBILITY
▪️Contestant must be a Nigerian.
▪️ Contestant must reside within Abuja.
▪️ Contestant must choose either Essay Or Poetry Competition.
▪️ Contesting in the two categories attracts disqualification.
▪️Students of U of A are strongly encouraged to contest.
VALIDITY
Submissions Opens September 26th, 2021.
Submission Closes October 4th, 2021.

GUIDELINES FOR THE POETRY COMPETITION
▪️Contestants are expected to coin a title for the poem from the theme.
▪️ Poem must not be more than 20 line and 5 stanzas
▪️ Poem must depicts attributes of the theme.
▪️ Poem must be grammatically rich, but simple.
▪️Poem must be Font size 12, Times New Roman.
▪️ Poem must not be submitted multiple times.
▪️ Poem must be submitted in a document file.
▪️ Document must contain Full name, Phone number, occupation (If Student include Institution) and email address.
