The Junior Chamber International, University of Abuja chapter on Friday inducted members.
The members were inducted at the 2nd General Assembly meeting held at the Faculty of Agriculture, Main Campus. During the induction ceremony, members were trained on the topic, ‘self-improvement and personal development’.
The trainer, Joshua Aigbona Oghorialu, shared diverse perspectives on the topic, hinging its on the concept of ‘progress’.
Mr. Aigbona expressed that while people have different definitions of success, “everybody seeks for ‘progress’ towards a ‘holistic success’”.
Also, a city member of JCI, Mr. Aina Segun highlighted the benefits inherent in JCI, urging members to “sharpen themselves, take opportunities and run with them”.
While Mr. Aigbona added that “being a graduate does not make a person educated”, Mr. Segun explained that JCI prepares members for the world outside school.
Meanwhile, the Local Organisation President, JCI UniAbuja, Ojuade Adeoba introduced the ongoing projects — food security and clothe a soul — to the members.
ACW-UA gathered that the ‘Food security project’ aimed to tackle food insecurity challenge in Nigeria through agricultural initiatives.
