For some days now, students residing in the hostels have been grappling with lack of power supply on the premises of both the Mini and Main campuses of the University of Abuja.
According to students who spoke with ACW-UA Press Club, darkness permeated the school environment early last week, and the school management has refused to put on the power generator to serve the students.
Some students at the mini campus also made it known that water supply has been erratic, making it difficult to get water for domestic needs.
Meanwhile, the Student Union Government and the Muslim Student Society of Nigeria (UniAbuja chapter) have provided ‘temporary’ succour by turning on the generator for a couple of hours for the students to charge their devices.
ACW-UA PRESS CLUB gathered that the generator was turned on at the ETF (Main campus) during the week and also at the mosque/shuttle ground (Mini campus) on Sunday.
