Two students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Abuja, have been awarded grants to undertake research.
The student researchers, Ajewole Peter Tosin and Muhammed Halima, were awarded the grants by the UofA Centre for Undergraduate Research (CUR).
According to a post on the university’s official Facebook page, the students won a total grant of ₦1,522,980 to undertake research in their chosen thematic areas.
The post reads further: “While Tosin and his team of researchers are working on the use of low green technology for the preservation of beans and maize and food security, Halima Idris and her co- researchers are studying the use of orange peels as repellents for mosquitoes.”
