ACW-UA PRESS : NAFAS 2019 Election Updates : Election canceled due to violence.
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FACULTY OF ARTS STUDENTS (NAFAS) Election which was scheduled to hold yesterday, 30th of October, 2019 has been canceled and prosponed till next week.
The election which was scheduled to hold by 10am was delayed and started after 12.00pm.
Speaking with ACW-UA PRESS Men, voters expressed optimism on the faring and process, however, there was low turnout of students.
As the electioneering process continues, Theater Arts Students raised a serious protest which threatened to peace and order of voters and the officers I
In action. According to our correspondence, the protest which was lead by Mr. Vince the Theater Art president, was so severe as the Dean of the Faculty was threatened . This lead to the disruption of the exercise and eventually the election was canceled and prosponed by the Faculty Authorities to further notice and investigation.

Prince Ezeabata Chibuzor is a student of law at the University of Abuja, Nigeria.
