VC warns students to register courses before deadline

 Quadri Yahya

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulRasheed Na’Allah has warned students to register their courses before the latest deadline ends.

Prof. Na’Allah stressed that students unable to register should  "apply to the Registrar for suspension of studies."

The VC added: "Otherwise, the University might regard him or her to have voluntarily withdrawn his studentship."

  • The memo was shared with the emails of students last week, and the new deadline is Thursday.

ACW-UA Press reports that the school fee payment precedes course registration.

It was also gathered that there has been an increment in tuition during this academic session. Findings revealed that the sum of N5,000 was added to tuition of some departments in the Faculty of Arts, while some engineering students lamented that N40,000 was included as part of a new payment.

In the memo, the VC warned that "this might be the last opportunity for students to register for their courses."

The memo reads in full: "The extended deadline for the student course Registration deadline would soon be here, and this might be the last opportunity for students to register for their courses.

This is, therefore, to warn students who are yet to register for courses before this deadline to do so without delay. Any student who does not register can not be a full-time student during this academic year and is advised to apply to the Registrar for suspension of studies. Otherwise, the University might regard him or her to have voluntarily withdrawn his studentship.

"Please, this is a warning to students to take immediate action, now."
