UniAbuja gets approval for 26 new programmes!

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 26 new programmes for the University of Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement credited to the Vice-chancellor, Abdul-Rasheed Na'Allah.
The statement reads: "I am tremendously happy to bring this breaking news to you that today we received a report from the NUC approving 26 new academic programmes from the 2022-2023 Academic Session.
"Among the new programmes approved for the great UofA of Nigeria are:
1. B. ENG. Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering
2. B. ENG. Architecture
3. B. ENG. Agricultural Engineering
4. BSc. Tourism and Hospitality Management
5. BNSc. Nursing
6. BMLS Medical Laboratory Science
7. BSc. Journalism and Media Studies
8. B. Sc. Film and Multimedia Studies
9. BSc. Strategic Communication
10. BSc Development and Communication Studies
11. BSc. Public Relations
12. BSc. Advertising
13. BSc. Information and Media Studies
14. BSc. Broadcasting
15. BSc. Biochemistry
16. BSc. Zoology
17. BSc. Botany
18. BSc. Industrial Design
19. BSc. Surveying and Geoinformatics
20. BSc. Quantity Surveying
21. BSc. Building
22. BSc. Estate Management
23. BSc. Urban and Regional Planning
24. BSc. Geology and Mining
25. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.)
26. LL. B. Common and Islamic Law."
The VC said the university was prepared to offer the newly approved programmes for young Nigerians.
He said, "It is time for celebration of the new capacity attained by the great UofA to offer new academic programmes for interested young Nigerians. This is very exciting, and no one can take this joy from the University of Abuja!"
