ACW-UA PRESS : UNIABUJA GST WBT EXAM FAILED TODAY, LEAVING STUDENT'S FRUSTRATED

Today will, for a while be a day to remember for many student's of the University of Abuja, particularly One Hundred Level Students.

The University has earlier announced that there would be GST exams, on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th, January 2023.

As a result of this scheduled date, many students rushed to the University main campus from their respective homes for the Web Based Test, only to be disappointed and frustrated as the end of the day.

It should be noted that this is the first time the University is introducing a Web Based Test (WBT), before now GST exams and other exams are handwritten on paper.

The day began with the students trekking from the University Main Campus Gate to the Faculty of Science Hall, and subsequently waiting from 08.00AM in the morning to almost 06.00PM, tired, frustrated and disappointed.

Some student's of the University who spoke to ACW-UA PRESS, shared their experiences as follows;

"First of all it is well. For a first year student, I didn't expect what I saw today. It is a web based exam for God's sake, I expected more, to be honest. From been in shuttle ground Mini Campus for hours waiting for shuttle-bus to arrive, then getting to the exam venue only to see that exam is not going on. We were supposed to be kept somewhere where there is shade not under the hot sun with the attitude of "who cares".
We are someone's children as well and shouldn't be made to suffer like this, no one came to pacify and when they came to address, all they said was lies upon lies.
Today was just a waste of time, resources, energy and I think this is not  the experience we should be getting.  Things are just taken for granted.
Above all, I will graduate.." said, Elizabeth a student who wishes to keep her department anonymous.

"Well, I came back from Nasarawa State today I rushed home to drop my stuff just to meet up , thank God I got a cab to main campus. When we got there no keke or shuttle ahhhhhh oluwa Jesus 🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️ the driver sha took us in to our various department but added some amount to the agreed payment. When we got there see sun, no cold stuff to buy plenty shege ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh🙆🏽‍♀️🙆🏽‍♀️ After all the rushing and not eating from home we no write the mock exam. What a dayyyyyyyyy!!!!!" said, Ehi a student who wishes to keep her department anonymous.

" We were at the faculty of science waiting to be called but they told us to be patient,at 5 we were told the mock had been cancelled till tomorrow I guess. And there was no shuttle,we had to trek outside the gate." said, Hanifah, a student of UniAbuja who wishes to keep her department anonymous.

Some other student mentioned, that if they had known they wouldn't have spent this long hours, while some expressed happiness for not coming at all.
