Presidential Address at the First meeting of the year on Friday the 31st of January, 2020. 

With a heart of love and mellow fruitfulness, I welcome each and every one of you to the year 2020. It is indeed of great joy to meet you once again. It is in my earnest prayer that this year shall be a year of greatness and increase in all ramifications.

The previous year, 2019 has proven itself a year of excellence and establishment in the our hearts. It was a year when seeds where sown and the earth was toid, we know our earnest deeds, zeal and effects would in no farther time yield fruitful and bountiful harvest.

Permit me, I so obliged to mention but a few persons who has so contributed to the Foundation of this Association. Among which are ; Enoima Okon Edem, Eberechukwu Egbukonye Steven, Isaac Ekene, Ayobami Khadeejah Ibrahim, Dominic Nwobodo, Solomon Ater Vendaga, Ugochi Joyce Simon, Marshall Osorachukwu, Henry Obinna Ozigbo, Alase Sadiq,Poet Munachi Fortune Amara egbu, Ogham Chukwubueze Stanley, SoloTech Media Consultants and the indispensable Talodabioluwa Inioluwa Taiwo and all others who has so contributed their Quota to the birth and establishment of this Association. I so remain appreciative, it is trite rule that our deeds shall paint our names in the sand of time hereinafter.

Since the establishment of Association of Creative Writers, it has attain in its mission to encourage and promote the skill of creativity and intellectual prowess among young people, in its effort into harnessing such, we witnessed the First Creative Writers Competition which was conducted last year, in each departments of the Association and winners emerged, namely Israel Ogbukada from ACW-UA CHRONICLES , Chinenye Marvelous Awanye from ACW-UA PRESS and Ogham Chukwubueze Stanley from the department of ACW-UA POETRY. Last year also saw to the recognition of the Association by the School Authority.

The Association has also extends its reach to Primary and Secondary schools as CREATIVE WRITERS AND READERS CLUB in a bid to imbibing the spirit of Creativity, intellectual productivity and personal development among the young ones because we believe that, the future of our society, nation and the world lies in the Hands of young minds. The Association has also extends its reach to Higher Institutions accross the nation, like Umar Musa Yadua University. Kastina ( UMYUK).

This year as well has series of inspiring, exhilarating and thrilling functions, programs and activities all geared towards the encouragement and sustainability of Creative and self development.

I thus, admonish and encourage you to put in your best, zeal and effects towards ACW-UA. I am only but a pencil in the hands of the creator, moral and a servant to you, I can not do this alone. I beg for your support and contributions. Let's come together to achieve our goals, mission and progress.
