On Wednesday the 6th of November, 2019,the senate at its 174th regular meeting considered the report and recommendations of the Central Examination Misconduct Committee expelled a total of 17 undergraduate students ; which includes 3 economics students, 8 political science students, 3 sociology students, 2 linguistic students and 1 biology education student. Among which eight 400L students, four 300L students, three 200L students and one extra years student.
In addition, two, 400L students were rusticated for a period of one semester both from political science.
Also, 6 postgraduate students were expelled, 5 from economic and 1 from geography & environmental management
However 3 post graduate students all from economics were rusticated for one academic session.
Students reacted to this, "nawa ọ", a student who introduced herself as Juliet speaking with Acwua Press continues "God forbid, it's never my portion"
"it's better to have carryovers than facing this", Timothy added.
"... And the worse is that, they will leave you till after like two or three more years probably in your final year before they expell you" Anonymous added.
