ACW-UA PRESS releases : NASSS 2019 GENERAL ELECTION REPORTS.

THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL SCIENCE STUDENTS (NASSS) ELECTION UPDATE

The National Association of Social Science Students (NASSS) University of Abuja Chapter election which was scheduled to hold on Monday the  4th of November, 2019 at  Indoor Theatre. Mini Campus was held.

The election which was scheduled to start by 10.00am was delayed to 1.00pm, this therefore was a cause of ditterment and disenfranchisement to many willing and eligible voters.
The presence of security officials was observed.
A student who plead anonymousity said, " The environment was not conducive to hold an election"
''The election was not held in a conducive environment, and this led to students being discouraged of voting, but we are in Uniabuja, we learn to manage ourselves'', a 100Level Student, Aluka Added.

A Presidential Aspirant who identified himself as James Ogbonna a.k.a Comrade Jaymis a 300Level, Sociology Student speaking with Press men stated, "The election has been free and fair, but it started late''.  He further added that if he eventually emerged as President elect, he would make sure the goals of the faculty are achieved and the faculty would be an example to all others.

NESA  President Elect, Mr Babatunde, who was also at the venue, speaking with ACW-UA PRESS, he stated, “the election was very rowdy and not organized at-all ".
" I came to support my Candidate ", he added.

Jimmy Oh my God, a student of Geography who is aspiring for Director of Socials, SUG speaking with ACW-UA PRESS expressed that the election was free and fair but the its conducts was very poor

However, some voters complained, as they could not vote.
A respondent,  Becky Jonathan, a 100Level Political Science student stated,  "I wasn't able to vote because people were too much and the doors were locked, thereby preventing students from voting".

Correspondences covered the process although were unable to have an audience with the Electoral chairman and his officials.
