My heart quests for reasons,
Curiosity overwhelmed me.
I journeyed far and near,
Answers wouldn't befriend me.
I turned a clown overnight,
But who cares?
I dined in my thoughts,
Asking why.
Life's irony flabbergast me.
We claim to be moving,
Yet, we are like stagnant waters.
Do you care?
My heart bleeds for life's results.
Bad eggs are treasured,
Good ones were crushed.
Millions appraised the faulty,
Good eggs are orphans.
Why keeps gazing.
Bad seeds devoured more,
Like the stream waters,
Tears of the helpless flowed.
Their mouths were shut for goodness sake.
What a crazy world!
Good eggs became foes,
Bad ones remained cordial.
The mixture nauseates me,
We move about in helplessness garments,
Yet, no one moved.
Will answers come for me?
The world await changes.
Who will swing into action?
Devourers are numerous.
Come, Oh Healing! Embrace us in your fullness,
I say unto you, "Come!".
BACKGROUND OF THE POEM.
The poem, "IN THE POOL OF WHY!" depicts of the rampart problems we face in our world today.
So many follow multitudes to do evil, only few do and takes the right decision.
It's however saddening that we derive joy and pleasure in doing bad and we make it impossible for the ones that are in the right path to swing into action.
The world is bad, yes it is because we made it so. "Good people and their deeds don't last". They are crushed indeed, they are rendered helpless, they are not reckoned with just for goodness sake.
Their ability to think fast and come about good things becomes a taboo because nobody is willing to support them.
Where as, bad eggs receive support and fame just because of their selfish gain.
The world is sick indeed and it needs healing, who will change the world?
Who will profer solutions to the problem?
Good people must be appreciated!
Their voices must be heard, it must rent the air.
They must be numerous and not the other way round.
Healing shall come, things shall take back their shape!!!
The world will be better again!
