ACW-UA POETRY : Hon. Uche Eze CEO of SkyBird Publishers, launches "Guilty of Love" a metaphysical poem

GUILTY OF LOVE

Love is in same shoes with Conspiracy
Do you know Offence of Conspiracy?
The prosecution cannot prove Conspiracy upon one suspect,
Same is love, it takes two to prove if love exist,

It came as a joke
He found his heart lost into the bosom of a damsel
She claimed not guilty of love,

He persistently stood his ground that he was wounded by the charms of her beauty and intelligence

His case was proved initially on the scale of preponderance of Justice
As in the civil suit
Just on balance of probability
Later it looked as if love is a crime

He had to prove it strictly beyond reasonable doubt as in the criminal offences

His was already proven that he was guilty of love more than 100 year ago. Determined to spend more years in ode to the angel of his heart.

The case was though, hence adjournment upon adjournment
Lastly on December 25th, that very year. She admitted guilty of same offence

As the normal court case would be after admission of guilt comes allocutus.
But seems they were not interested in the allocutus
They knew they were going to matrimonial jail together
They are sentenced already by the supreme Court of heaven to remain prisoners of love till Christ come or death do them path.
Amen

BACKGROUND OF THE POEM.

Hon. UCHE EZE

The poem is a personal love narrative. How men patiently wait and admire the woman that won their heart. The protagonist used 100 years to wait for an approval from the damsel. This hyperbole paints the picture of how patience a groom could be while wooing his bride. Despite the brides coilless, a faithful groom would always stand his ground. He would prove his love beyond reasonable doubt. The joy of it is when both the wooer and the wooed are found guilty, they would be chained (yoked) together forever.
